Early Life and Background

Born on April 1, 1993, in Piacenza, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, Giulia Salemi is the daughter of Mario Salemi, a police officer, and Fariba Tehrani, an Iranian beautician. She pursued studies at the Liceo delle Scienze Umane and later enrolled in Economics at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Piacenza. However, her passion for the entertainment industry led her to leave academia after a year to focus on her burgeoning career. ​

Modeling and Television Career

Giulia's foray into the limelight began in 2012 with her participation in the television program "Veline." She gained further recognition by winning the reality show "Sweet Sardinia" in 2013 alongside then-boyfriend Luca Bergamaschi. Her prominence soared when she secured third place in the Miss Italia 2014 pageant, earning titles such as Miss Sport Lotto and Miss TV Sorrisi e Canzoni.

Transitioning seamlessly into television, Giulia co-hosted "Leyton Orient" in 2015 and participated in "Pechino Express" the same year with her mother, finishing third. Her versatility shone through roles in shows like "Sbandati," "Ridiculousness Italia," and "Grande Fratello VIP," where she appeared in both the third and fifth editions, the latter leading to a romantic relationship with fellow contestant Pierpaolo Pretelli. ​
